“This program has motivated me to do more for those going through the struggles I did back in high school and empower our immigrant communities through education.”Hugo, Program Participant, 2019-2020

“Through this program, I was able to create systemic changes within our partner high school that would persist even after the program.”Citlaly, Program Participant, 2019-2020

At Immigrants Rising, we believe education is the key to personal transformation. The opportunity to learn, whether it is in a classroom, at a job site, or in other forms, gives individuals agency to improve their own lives.

With new challenges and a drastically changing learning environment, we recognize that high school students more than ever need role models to help them successfully navigate through education and career pathways.

This academic year, we’re launching our High School Career Program for young undocumented professionals pursuing a career in high school education. Through the High School Career Program, the participants will receive professional and leadership development, mentorship, and career experience while they empower high school students at a host site.

We hope that undocumented young professionals will be able to pursue a career in high school education and create new, and brighter futures for themselves and others.
