Catalyst Fund Institutional Innovation Series: Festivities & Appreciations
Join us for the Catalyst Community Celebrations! In addition to the exciting workshops we’re offering in our Fall 2020 Catalyst Fund Institutional Innovation Series, we are also hosting other great activities to build community, share stories, and inspire one another. These events are open to educators, students, and administrators at Catalyst campuses. We hope these additional offerings will help recreate the spirit, fun, and celebration of our annual convening. Date: Wednesday, September 30th, 6:00-7:30 p.m. PT
Description: Undocumented people have continued to resist and thrive despite today’s uncertainties. Learn how three powerful undocumented young people are still coping, surviving, and growing in these challenging times.
Date: Thursday, October 22nd, 8:00-9:30 p.m. PT
Description: A Catalyst Convening would not be complete without DJ Sizzle! Join us for our annual dance party hosted by the dynamic DJ Sizzle Fantastic. Learn some new moves or show off your old ones in this virtual gathering.
Date: Friday, November 13th, 7:00-8:30 p.m. PT
Description: Show off your knowledge of the undocumented community in our UndocuTrivia Night! Students and educators from Catalyst campuses will face off against each other in this virtual game night. The winners will receive awesome prizes and be crowned UndocuTrivia Champions.
Date: Thursday, December 10th, 7:00-8:30 p.m. PT
Description: Join us for a talent-filled night showcasing amazing undocumented performers. Afterwards, we invite artists and entertainers from the Catalyst community to share their voices and stories in our open mic.
Don’t miss our Institutional Innovation workshops because we are offering exciting incentives for educators who attend multiple sessions during the series. For each workshop completed, participants will earn a raffle ticket (maximum 7) at the end of the training. Each ticket will provide an opportunity to win an amazing prize. These prizes will include: apparel designed by Bo Thai; mugs and art from Monarchs of Gold; drinkware from MG Custom Printing; signed copies of books by undocumented authors; personalized workshops for your students and more! Educators who complete a certain number of trainings will also receive the following appreciations:
