Option 1: Demystifying Dream Resource Centers/Campus-wide Support

Breakdown the important benchmarks that staff, faculty, students, and administrators can take to initiate or expand strong support services for undocumented students on your campus. Every successful program has been built in phases and there are incremental steps you can identify to build upon.
Option 2: Student Data: Outreach & Protection
Location: Pavilion
Explore campus challenges in connecting with incoming and current undocumented students while protecting student data. Be exposed to a district-wide model that expands their ability to safely identify and effective outreach to all undocumented students. Get tips & tools to implement this on your campus!

Students, staff and administrators all play key roles in creating and refining support services for undocumented individuals on college campuses. Join senior campus leaders who’ll speak about challenges and opportunities to advance collaborative work on campus in support of undocumented individuals. Audience members will also be invited to share their own examples and questions regarding engaging senior campus leaders in constructive and productive ways.

Option 1: Mental Health: Building a Clinical Activist Toolkit for UndocuTalks
Location: Cival
Increase the concentric circles of safety and care available for undocumented students on your campus through personal reflection, expanded UndocuTalks, professional development opportunities and the new Mental Health Connector, created by Immigrants Rising.
Option 2: Developing Sustainable Funding Models
Location: Pavilion
Building long-term solutions require more than one-time funding. Learn the strategies two community colleges used to get Equity and AB 19 funds for undocumented student programming. Additionally, efforts at the CSU, including the Quality Campus Fee and private foundation funding will be discussed.

Gain a deeper understanding about helping students develop an entrepreneurial mindset as well as how your campus can institutionalize this type of training. Also, hear testimonies of undocumented youth who have successfully paved their careers, in and out of college.

Option 1: Student Engagement: Models for Success

Join with Catalyst educators and administrators to explore different models for increasing student leadership such as supporting student clubs, developing peer mentor programs, or creating fellowships on campus. Strategies to engage non-Latinx students will also be addressed.
Option 2: Expanding Legal Services on Your Campus
Location: Pavilion
Take a deep dive into how other campuses have been addressing the legal challenges that their students and families are facing. Discussions will include promising practices, available resources and strategies for collective problem-solving to address systemic barriers.
