Andrea (she/her/ella) was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, and migrated to Maryland at age five. She holds a B.A. in Politics with a minor in sociology from Marymount University and received scholarships and fellowships such as TheDream.US Scholarship, Newman Civic Fellowship, and UCLA Dream Summer Fellowship.

A dedicated immigrant rights advocate, she has worked with organizations like United We Dream, The President’s Alliance on Higher Education & Immigration, and the National Collaborative for Transformative Youth Policy.

Andrea is pursuing a master’s in public policy at Carnegie Mellon University, with the hopes of merging her commitment to education and immigrant rights to expand educational access and career pathways for underserved communities. As part of the Home is Here Opportunity Program, she is eager to deepen her knowledge of resources available to undocumented entrepreneurs and contribute to developing policies that empower the immigrant community.
