Position: Home Is Here Opportunity Program Participant
Deane (she/her) was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States at the age of 12. She holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in criminal justice from Texas A&M University-San Antonio and was the student body president at her university during her senior year. From that experience, she solidified her passion for serving others in the community and is now an aspiring immigration attorney. She is passionate about providing immigrant communities with essential services stemming from her personal and varied internship experiences throughout her undergraduate experience. Currently, Deane is a participant in the Home is Here Opportunity Program with Immigrants Rising. In her free time, she likes to cook and explore new culinary and coffee spots.
