Naomi
Position: Home Is Here Opportunity Program Participant
Naomi (she/her) immigrated from Nigeria but calls Queens, NY, Chicago, IL, and Houston, TX home. Naomi got her MFA in Documentary Media from Northwestern University. She currently works for a documentary production company that focuses on BIPOC stories; her own documentaries highlight the multi-faceted nature of the immigrant experience. Her documentaries have been shown at several universities, film festivals, and social justice conferences. Naomi is part of the inaugural cohort of the Home is Here Opportunity Program, where she plans to use creative ways to make information and resources more accessible for undocumented individuals. During her free time, Naomi indulges in her hobbies, including naps, maps, and films.
