Siyue Wang
Siyue (Lena) Wang (she/her) is a doctoral student from UCLA, School of Education and Information Studies. Her work investigates the intersection of race and illegality among undocumented Asian and Pacific Islander college students. Committed to uplifting undocuAPI narratives, Siyue has collaborated with Immigrants Rising to diversify the support for undocuAPI students through resource creation, educator gatherings and webinar trainings. Channeling her activism into community engagement, Siyue has mentored many undocumented college students, served at Improving Dreams, Equality, Access, and Success (IDEAS), and actively expanded representation of UPLIFT (an undocuAPI organization based in Los Angeles) in immigrant and social justice space. Siyue hopes to foster solidarity and create inclusivity amongst all undocumented students, especially those overlooked in higher education and immigration discourse.
