The UndocuCollege Guide & Equity Tool built on the knowledge from an educational summit, that had representation from the University of California, California State University, California Community Colleges, and private four-year colleges in California. This research and subsequent guide grew out of the need to bring a statewide focus and collectively address systemic problems in educational access for undocumented young people, specifically highlighting institutional barriers. The research also elevates the learning that took place among the different educational partners as they learned from one another regarding effective practices to better serve their undocumented students.
