Madison Villanueva

Madison (she/her) was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the Los Angeles area at the age of seven. She began community organizing nearly a decade ago through UPLIFT, an undocumented Asian and Pacific Islander led organization based in Los Angeles. She has been instrumental in uplifting undocuAPI narratives in community events and legislative spaces, as well as connecting undocuAPIs across the country. Madison received her B.A. in Asian American Studies from UC Santa Barbara, where she served as the co-chair of the undocumented student organization, IDEAS, and advocated for the creation of the Undocumented Student Services department, for which she became the first lead intern. After graduating, she continued to advocate for undocumented students as the DREAM Center Supervisor at CSU Northridge.

Prior to joining the team as an Entrepreneurship Manager, Madison co-created the “Increasing Inclusivity for Undocumented Asian Pacific Islander Students On Your Campus” resource for Immigrants Rising. She is excited to continue serving the undocumented community through entrepreneurship opportunities.
