Grace (she/her) is a nonprofit digital communications professional and thought partner with over five years of experience. Overseeing the day-to-day work and goals of Immigrants Rising’s communications team, she strives to uplift an authentic and positive representation of people without status and ensure that everyone has agency and support systems to continue pursuing their dreams and flourish wherever they are.
Grace immigrated from South Korea with her family at a young age and has called California her home for over 20 years. Since middle school, she had many opportunities to understand the importance of social justice and participating in the local community. She had the privilege to participate in conferences and hold leadership roles in high school and college. She attributes her successes and core values to her Greater Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, and Immigrants Rising communities.
Beyond immigrant rights and advocacy spaces, she sees herself as a lifelong learner and a growing person. She began practicing photography in 2017 and is often seen behind cameras, capturing moments for various events and occasions. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, snorkeling, and learning about public policy, socioeconomics, nature, and astronomy.
