Keziah (they/them/siya) immigrated from the Philippines in 2014 and adjusted their status in 2021 through the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. Coming from a low-income, undocumented, and queer background, Keziah was made aware of their social status at an early age and has committed themself to practicing liberatory principles of humility, community care, and interconnectedness to support marginalized communities and individuals. Keziah received their B.A. in Sociology from UC Berkeley and is currently pursuing a master’s in Asian American studies at San Francisco State University. Previously a counselor for undocumented college students, Keziah shifted their work to highlight the beauty, resiliency, and humanity in people’s stories. They have published written works about the undocumented experience, including the anthology UNTITLED, and hope to continue doing work around healing and resiliency through storytelling and increasing accessibility. In their free time, Keziah enjoys watching matinees, reading, and attending concerts.
