Summary

The CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) Map is a step-by-step guide for students to successfully submit their applications and receive their financial aid on time. The map is divided into four phases based on the different timelines of the application process:

  • Phase 1: Filling out and submitting the CADAA.
  • Phase 2: Verifying GPA with the CA Student Aid Commission (CSAC) to be considered for state grants, such as the Cal Grant, Middle Class Scholarship, and the Chafee Grant.
  • Phase 3: Claiming financial aid. Students may be selected for income verification during this phase. The college or university’s financial aid office will contact each student selected for income verification.
  • Phase 4: Using your financial aid at the school of attendance.
