Lizbeth (she/her) was born in Hidalgo, Mexico and immigrated to the U.S. with her family at the age of 11. After high school she attended Hartnell Community College in Salinas where she joined the Associated Students of Hartnell College as a senator. She also founded a Transfer Club to provide resources and information to all students including undocumented students pursuing higher education. Thanks to the support she received there she was able to transfer to UC Berkeley where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare and Spanish Language and Literature. Lizbeth has over four years of experience providing direct services and training as an employment specialist. She loves her community and enjoys seeing the possibilities of all the people that she engages with. In her free time she can be found dancing, hiking, or spending time with friends and family.
