Christian (he/they) is from Michoacán, Mexico, and migrated to California at 10 years old, eventually finding a home in San Bernardino. As a queer Latino and first-generation college graduate, his background shaped his commitment to exploring the intersections of technology, education, and social policy. They hold bachelor’s degrees in computer science and sociology, specializing in computing from UCLA, and a master’s degree in Higher Education-Student Affairs from the University of Redlands. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Education-Urban Leadership at Claremont Graduate University. He is the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of NavigatED Solutions LLC, serves as an Experiential Learning Graduate Fellow at the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration, and as a College Legal Services Graduate Fellow with CARECEN, and an independent consultant at UCLA’s Dream Resource Center. In his free time, Christian enjoys hiking, journaling, and traveling.
