Born in Mexico city, Mexico, Renata (she/her/ella) immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of ten and has lived in the Los Angeles area ever since.
Renata brings over eight years of work experience in the creative industry and has expertise in all aspects of the graphic arts including print production, visual design, and web design. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design from California State University, Long Beach.
Before joining as a staff member, Renata was a participant in one of Immigrant Rising’s Wellness Support Groups. As a formerly undocumented person, she is deeply knowledgeable, passionate, and committed to supporting undocumented people living in the United States. Renata is highly committed to using her personal lived experience and creative skills to advocate for immigrant rights. In her free time, you can find Renata drawing and painting, reading a good book, meeting up with friends for tea, or jogging at the beach.
