Announcing Immigrants Rising’s Pre-Law Fund

ASPIRING ATTORNEYS, DO NOT LET ANYONE GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR GOALS! APPLY FOR IMMIGRANTS RISING’S PRE-LAW FUND TODAY.

Education is the key to personal transformation. The opportunity to learn, whether it is in a classroom, at a job site or in other forms, gives individuals agency to improve their own lives. Unfortunately many undocumented young people lack the financial resources to pursue their educational dreams.

Today we are thrilled to open up applications for the inaugural year of our Pre-Law Fund.

Immigrants Rising’s Pre-Law Fund will provide financial support of up to $2,500 to low-income immigrants who are planning to attend law school. Grants will cover LSAT preparation (courses, tutoring, self-study materials, etc) and law school application fees. In addition to financial support, recipients will be connected to Immigrants Rising’s network of legal professionals.

EDUCATORS: Please share this information with students who may be interested in applying!

“We live in a time when it is important for all good people to speak out against injustice, to seek the truth, and to fight for the rights of the underprivileged. Undocumented students who will their way through college have demonstrated that given the opportunity, they can fight that fight. The Pre-Law Fund will help them overcome the financial barriers to law school and amplify the voices of these students and the communities they will represent.” — Arturo González, Partner at Morrison Foerster, Pre-Law Fund Lead Supporter

The deadline for all application materials is Wednesday, March 4th at 5 PM PST.
